WE WILL DEVELOP AN ESTABLISH GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN ENGINEERING THAT SERVE IN PRODUCING QUALIFIED NATIVE AMERICANS WHO COULD JOIN THE FACULTY POOL FOR TRIBAL COLLEGES AND PARTICIPATE IN ADVANCED RESEARCH ACTIVITIES.\n\nTHIS EDUCATION COMPONENT OF THE PROJECT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:\n\n\u2022\tCURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT TO ENHANCE PROBLEM-SOLING SKILLS AND HANDS-ON TRAINING LABORATORY UNITS IN ENGINEERING.\n\u2022\tENHANCE RECRUITMENT THAT USES ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS WITH TWO-YEAR TRIBAL COLLEGES. NTU WILL DEVELOP AND ESTABLISH ARTICULATION AGREEMENT WITH TWO-YEAR COLLEGES THAT HAVE PRE-ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAMS.\n\u2022\tRETENTION AND GRADUATION OF TALENTED AND HIGH CALIBER STUDENTS THROUGH MENTORING AND ACADEMIC PROGRESS TRACKING SYSTEMS.\n\u2022\tPROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES AT DOE/NNSA NATIONAL LABS AND FACILITIES.\n\nTHE PROJECT WILL DEVELOP ROBUST GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN ENGINEERING WITH CONCENTRATIONS IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, COMPUTER ENGINEERING, NUCLEAR ENGINEERING AND ENERGY SYSTEMS, AND INDUSTRIAL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING.
