THE TEAM WILL DEVELOP A NOVEL SILICON-CARBIDE (SIC) AND GALLIUM-NITRIDE (GAN) FAST-CHARGING NANOGRID-TIED SYSTEM OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES AND A COMPACT, SOLAR-POWERED, AND ENERGY STORAGE INTERFACED 4 KW POWER SYSTEMS.   THE TEAM WILL ALSO DEVELOP A COMPACT, LOW-COST, AND ENERGY-EFFICIENT GAN/SIC-BASED AIR-QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM WITH PATHOGEN SENSING AND DISINFECTION CAPABILITIES.EXPECTED OUTCOMES:  THIS PROJECT WILL DEVELOP RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE, QUALITY ENERGY SOURCES THAT CAN SUPPORT MOBILE HEALTH CARE UNITS, EXPANDED ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN NATIVE COMMUNITIES, AND NEW EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE OPPORTUNITIES.INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES IN RURAL AREAS WILL BENEFIT FROM DELIVERY OF CRITICAL MEDICAL SUPPLIES;
